BEAUTY MUST-HAVES

RED COLD SHOULDER DRESS

Old Navy red cold shoulder dressHappy Monday friends! Do you like the new look of Belle Meets World?! I hope you do because I worked all weekend on it! But not without a little break at one of my favorite places here in Atlanta, Lotta Frutta, for a quick snack and some colorful scenery to shoot this amazing red cold shoulder dress that I am so in love with I can’t take it.

Here’s what I love about cold shoulder dresses and tops. They cover my arms at just the right spot where I carry a little extra fat. We all have our insecurities about our bodies, and this is one of mine. I love that I can wear this little ruffled number in warm weather and feel cool, comfortable and covered in all the right places.

Want to know something else? This actually isn’t a cold shoulder dress. It’s a top I tucked into a matching skirt and belted! Remember the other day when I suggested a two piece was a great alternative to a dress?? I’m still practicing what I’m preaching! And one other thing? It’s from Old Navy so the set cost just under $50. Style + bargain = HAPPY ELISE. I don’t wear this color that often but it screams summer and pairs perfectly with my favorite red lipstick in Scarlet by MAKE.

On this lovely Saturday my sister and I stopped by Lotta Frutta, a sweet little cafe in the Edgewood neighborhood of Atlanta. They have really great food (remember the picnic Evan and I took to the cemetery? This is our go-to for carry out picnic food). And they also have new vegan ice cream that we got a little taste of – the avocado flavor is amazing!

P.S. Confession – this blog was on Squarespace for years and I never made the time to switch to WordPress (big blogger no-no). But I finally did it! It’s a work in progress, so bear with me while I figure it all out. I must thank the amazing bloggers Jess and Blair of Blogging 4 Keeps who guided me through the transition. They have a ton of helpful resources out there if you’re looking for help yourself!

Thank you to Old Navy for partnering on this post, and thank you for supporting the brands that keep Belle Meets World up and running!
