Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend – I spent mine researching and playing with new beauty products, per usual. My fave thing is definitely a sweet little pink lip for spring and summer. One shade deeper and you get mauve, one shade lighter and you get nude – so I’m loving the whole spectrum! What I love about all the options is that they are just soft enough to be neutrals and go with everything but give you a nice little touch of color for the warmer months.
Everyone listen up! Have you tried the new Essie Gel Couture polish? It’s a game-changer in the world of at-home manicures. After weeks of listening to my sister telling me how great it was, I finally tried it and I’m a convert. I’ve been looking for a solution to getting gel manicures in the salon for two reasons – expense and time. I simply can’t afford to spend too much of either right now. This nail polish is the answer!
Over the last couple months, Dermalogica has been churning out some amazing new products that I’ve been lucky enough to try – the Daily Superfoliant gentle scrub charcoal powder and the Phyto Replenish Oil. Both have pleasantly surprised me. I’ve known of the brand for a long time because a lot of spas carry their products (which means they are really good if estheticians love them!). But what I never really knew is that their big focus is on fighting environmental hazards that can bother, clog, and age your skin. Did you know that pollution isn’t just in urban areas? Sure it’s in smog and cigarette smoke, of course, but it’s also near farmland, construction sites, even in homes (like in paint)! HELLO AGE-ACCELERATORS!!
Have you ever experienced this: you go to the salon so excited to get your hair colored, and you walk out liking it but not loving it because it just wasn’t quite what you wanted? You’re not alone! This happens all the time and the reason why is because YOU, the client, didn’t walk into your appointment fully prepared to ask for exactly what you want.
Happy day, Dear Readers! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. Mine was chilly, which just might mean that winter is finally coming. And boy can a season change and different weather take a toll on your skin! That’s why I’m writing today with some recommendations for what to put on your lovely face, as well as in your beautiful body to ensure you are nourished from both outside and within.
I’ve been testing several foundations over the last few months, desperately trying to find the best one for me and the ones that I’m willing to recommend to my readers. And I’ve found a few, actually! Plus I’ve found some that I didn’t love, and some that I’d still like to try that folks have told me about along the way – both high and low end. Read on for my favorite foundation recommendations!
