Ponce City Market on Belle Meets World blog

Happy Friday, friends! Who else is slidin’ into this weekend like Heeeeeey!? Did you catch our City Hall Wedding post, by the way? Check it out – you can see all the fun we had at the amusement park on the roof of Ponce City Market here in Atlanta! But onto my Five Things on Friday for the week….it’s all about design and decor! AND a giveaway. A $1000 giveaway!! You should probably keep reading…

Serena & Lily Atlanta

Since Evan and I recently moved into a new apartment, we are in full home-stocking and decorating mode. Last night I attended the grand opening of Serena & Lily in West Midtown Atlanta. It is the most beautiful interior décor store ever of all time. Every item is perfectly curated and coordinated for a chic and functional home. Le sigh. I wanted everything. This living room is my dream living room. Plus, everyone who is anyone in the Atlanta design community was there (saw Sid and Ann Mashburn!) and they were all dressed to the absolute nines. The whole experience was an over-stimulation of eye candy. My favorite kind of party!

Perla Anne Press

One of my favorite new additions to our kitchen is these beautiful hand-printed tea towels by Perla Ann Press. How unique and out-of-this-world beautiful are these prints? Stacey Bradley hand-carves each design from wood blocks and hand-prints each item, so you are guaranteed to get something well-loved and with a lot personality. Perla Anne is based in Charleston and sells at the Charleston Farmer’s Market, as well as the Charleston City Market every week. Online, you can find her Instagram at: @perlaannepress and her Etsy store at: Perla Anne. Not that I want to get ahead of myself with Christmas because hello, Thanksgiving first….BUT, if you’re starting to consider ideas for holiday gifts, I couldn’t think of a better place to find something for everyone than at Perla Anne Press – phone cases, wall prints (zodiac signs and states are such a personalized touch!), tea towels, and note cards. She even has a board book that is perfect for the littles in your life. Check ‘em out!

SCAD FASH GUO PEI EXHIBITION

Believe it or not, Atlanta is an uber-stylish town when it comes to clothing, interior design and art. Savannah College of Art and Design has a lot of programs here in the ATL now – and a fashion museum called SCAD FASH. Swoon. It’s like heaven. Remember that shoe exhibit I mentioned on one of my first Five Things Things post? And the Carolina Herrera exhibit last year took my breath away! The museum is closed for private events through November 11th, but then I am headed straight to the Guo Pei: Beyond Couture exhibition. All ATL style mavens should probably do the same.

Suthin Girl Subscription Box

Last night at the Serena and Lily event I mentioned, I met one of my fave Atlanta Instagrammers, Ashley of @suthingirl. She has her very own subscription box service that is focused on ‘fashion, food and finer things from around the South’. I love this idea of bringing attention and celebration to what people are creating here in our region! Plus, even though I am a city girl through and through with more time spent in NY and CHI than ATL, I have such a love and respect for southern style. I grew up here after all. I always admired that southern women are always impeccably dressed and groomed. These boxes pull that spirit together into one girly, pink, gorgeous collection. I can’t WAIT to try it out at $200 worth of products for just $60 per season. The holiday box comes in a little pricier at $500 of products for $250 but it promises loads of sparkle so I just might splurge.
