This weekend I was in New York and had brunch at Brooklyn’s latest hot spot, Butter and Scotch – it’s a bar and bakery with a sweet little menu with biscuits, cocktails and desserts. In fact, they’ve just been named ‘Best Birthday Cake in NYC’, and now I know why. It was truly the best cake I’ve ever had with the perfect icing to cake ratio (the most important ratio there is).
HAPPY FRIDAY! I’ve been excited to write this post all week because it’s been a really fun couple of them. Crazy, but fun and full of A LOT of rock! For those of you who are new to my blog, did you know my beloved is in a rock band? That’s how we met actually (I know, groupie). Every year or so Jump Little Children gets back together for a few shows, and this year also played at the south’s newest music festival, High Water Festival in Charleston – hosted by Shovels & Rope. We had a blast!
Happy Friday, friends! What a week – I got stuck on an extended business trip in NY because of all the crazy storms in Georgia. In fact I’m still here while I write this – two days after I was supposed to be back! I worked a ton, shopped a ton, and missed home in Georgia a ton. Never thought I’d say that!! In today’s post I’m taking a break from the fancy-cam to show you some real life iPhone action from this week’s adventure!
