HOLIDAY GIFTS THAT GIVE BACK FROM L'OCCITANE

This post written in partnership with L’Occitane en Provence. All opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that keep Belle Meets World up and running.

Happy Holidays, everyone! We are officially in full swing December mode, and I couldn’t be more in the spirit this year – probably because in the blogosphere we are churning out holiday content like it’s our job (oh wait, it is!). If you’ve been following along with me for the last few weeks, I’ve already shared a couple gift guides – one for the glitter-girl and one with useful gifts for the guys.

Today’s gift guide is really special, though, because it highlights just one brand that I love that also gives back in multiple ways – L’Occitane en Provence.

I’ve known of L’Occitane for a very long time – ever since my sister introduced me to their amazing hand cream. It’s truly the best and one of my most favorite luxuries.

GOOD DEEDS AND PRINCIPLES

The more I learn about L’Occitane, the more I feel committed to this company and their products. Here’s why…

L’Occitane gives back and cares about accessibility in a number of ways. All of their products are made in Provence via family farms (heck yes for sustainability and acting locally) – except for their Shea butter, which is made in West Africa via a fair trade agreement.

Additionally, L’Occitane partners with Orbis, a company that brings eye drops that prevent blindness in children – normally unavailable to infant and youth populations in third-world countries. They provide brail on much of their packaging, as well.

L’Occitane is also partnered with Unicef, a world renowned organization that defends the rights of children. This gorgeous yellow hat box filled with Shea Butter hand cream plus foot cream, body cream and a beautiful hand soap benefits Unicef! L’Occitane will donate $4 for each Shea Butter Collection ($74) and Shea Butter Deluxe Collection ($104) sold in the US or Canada, up to $120,000. Funds will help provide Vitamin A supplements to children, which essential for immune system functions and the survival, growth and development of children.

We purchased a few of these boxes this weekend for friends – hopefully they aren’t reading this but if so – surprise! Now you know what you’re getting (and giving to Unicef)!

WELL-PRICED GIFT SETS

They also have a ton of other gift sets with amazing price points. Another set we purchased for family were the hand cream sampler sets ($54 – a $72 value). This is a guaranteed-to-please gift for moms! Like I said, it’s truly the best hand cream around and these are perfectly sized and scented for all your various bags, bathrooms and other needs.

A couple others I like:

So my friends, if you were scouring the internet looking for gifts that give back, I’d recommend supporting L’Occitane. Bernie does too! It’s so hard to tell these days whether the purchases you make to businesses actually do the good they claim. Here is one that does!

P.s. Our L’Occitane event this past weekend was a great success! We had a few other Atlanta bloggers stop by to support us, as well as several friends and family members and some new faces, too. Thanks to all who came out!
