My final pleated trapeze dress – this time for fall with long sleeves and deep autumn colors – only $17 at my favorite re-sale shop, Crossroads Trading Co! This one doesn’t spin like the others and it’s more of a casual dinner look, but I can’t wait to wear it into the winter months with tights and boots, too.

WHAT I WORE:
- Color-Blocked, Long-Sleeved Trapeze Dress: (French Connection, purchased at Crossroads Trading Co.)
- Leopard Print Calf-Hair Platform Sandals: (Pour La Victoire, purchased at Gilt Warehouse Sale)
- Black and Gold Tassel Necklace/Wrap Bracelet: (E. Kammeyer Accessories)
- Black Studded Cross-Body Bag: (Foley + Corinna, purchased on Gilt)
WHY I WORE IT:
This look is simple and straightforward – I was in the mood to wear some sassy shoes!
- I chose the leopard print platform sandals because they are actually a fall shoe – the calf-hair and black patent piping give them a little more gravitas than a light summer sandal, so I usually pull them out when the seasons start to change.
- The colors also were in the same palette as the dress but still contrasted enough so that they stand out as a deliberate statement. I got this inspiration from one of my favorite blogs, A Southern Drawl, where she paired animal prints with a feminine floral dress (check it out!)
- Since the color palette of the dress and shoes were on the warm end of the spectrum, I went for gold accessories – tassel on the necklace, hardware on the bag – on black leather to accent the look but not to overpower it.
