Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend – I spent mine researching and playing with new beauty products, per usual. My fave thing is definitely a sweet little pink lip for spring and summer. One shade deeper and you get mauve, one shade lighter and you get nude – so I’m loving the whole spectrum! What I love about all the options is that they are just soft enough to be neutrals and go with everything but give you a nice little touch of color for the warmer months.
My cheapest favorite is Katy Perry’s Katy Kat Matte by Covergirl in Pink Paws – this is a great true pink, and it’s matte which is all the rage. I’m not a huge fan of matte lips on myself because my lips dry easily, but I LOVE the way it looks on everyone else. This Covergirl option is really creamy, so it’s one that does work well for me. My expensive favorite is Marc Jacobs’ Le Marc Lip Creme in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. This is one of those mauves that looks really great on all skin tones and is perfect for the workplace – I’ve layered it on top of the Katy Perry Covergirl one in these pics! My other expensive favorite is the Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Creme in Grace – this is a creamy nude lipstick that looks killer with a smoky eye. And finally, a great mid-priced pink is the Stowaway Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Rouge in Peony. It travels so well – I wrote a full review of a bunch of their products last year – check it out!
