One of my favorite developments in style lately has been the embellishment of fall and winter sweaters. It used to be that cold-weather clothes were only available in classic cuts, but now they come with bows on the wrists, bells on the sleeves, ruffles on the shoulders, ties on the neck – you name it. I can’t get enough, and I think this trend is here to stay.
If a trend has staying power, I like to jump right in and make it a part of my ongoing wardrobe – but only if I can get a lot of wear out of it in all the various facets of my life. I need a piece to be work-appropriate but also weekend-friendly. And if it can transition into date night, then it’s definitely going into my cart.

Work – White Oxford and Pencil Skirt
A white oxford makes any piece work-appropriate – except maybe a leather bustier, don’t do that. But seriously, I’ve even worn a crop top over one so that I could make a coord set work at the office. And of course, a pencil skirt or crisp black ankle pants are the staple to any workwear wardrobe. Grab a pair of simple black pumps, and you’re golden.
Date Night – Mini Skirt and OTK Boots
