BEAUTY MUST-HAVES

ATLANTA BLOGGER FRIENDSGIVING

Atlanta blogger friendsgiving

This weekend I attended an Atlanta blogger Friendsgiving, and it was such a blast. Friendsgiving is such a fun tradition because it gives you the opportunity to spend time with your community and friends before heading out to see family at Thanksgiving. I highly recommend throwing a little fete like this if you’re in need of some extra support and friendship this time of year. Read on for the skinny on our feast and some ideas for your own!

DECORATE

The party was hosted by Chanel Van Reenan of one of my favorite blogs here, Chanel Moving Forward. She is truly the hostess with the mostest and had such a lovely table set up that will inspire all you entertainers out there. If you’re hosting Thanksgiving this year, take a look at the felt greenery, the cotton wreath, the tree-trunk serving dishes, the votives and the fall-colored bouquets. I loved that she put the desserts out as decor, too. So creative. Most of what you see here is from Sugarboo & Co. They have such amazing decor, especially at the holidays.

EAT, DRINK & SHARE

Each blogger brought a dish, dessert or drink to share, and we stuffed our faces while talking shop. It was so inspiring to spend time with other women who help to lift each other up and share ideas. I really appreciate that about this pocket of the Atlanta blogging community I’ve found. If you throw your own Friendsgiving, definitely take a little time to share what you value most or admire about each other. It’s a good time to show your peeps some love.

Speaking of showing some love, here are all the fabulous bloggers who attended and their blogs which are all amazing and worth a follow:

DRESS UP

As for what to wear to friendsgiving, I’d say you could have a little bit more fun with your look than the official family affair. I went a bit more on the trendy side with a leopard sweater (under $20 from Target!!), a flouncy mini skirt and some OTK boots – because bloggers got style and anything goes when we’re together!
