It’s official, summer is here in Georgia. It is HOT!! Which means I am desperately trying to find cute clothes that keep me cool for a casual summer date night. How does one look cute when she’s sweating – excuse me, glistening as they say down her in the south – without bearing every ounce of skin? HINT – bows and a big ole’ statement necklace.
First things first, though – a little life snippet: I’m so excited because Evan and I are going down to Mexico for a few days to do all things wedding planning related in San Miguel de Allende. We can’t wait to get back to SMA. We’ll finally meet our wedding planner in person, see our venue, taste all the food, and do hair and makeup trials. Eeee! Excitement!
Back to clothes, though.
I was really reluctant to wear this top because it shows a lot more cleavage than I am comfortable with. Haha – what cleavage?!. But this little triangle top is really low cut, so my sis let me borrow this big necklace to cover some of the skin I was showing. It instantly made me feel more easy in this outfit. Try it next time you’ve got the girls out!!
The next question is, why did you buy it if you weren’t comfortable? Well, I didn’t expect to feel uneasy. I bought the top and mules together at Zara on one of my recent NY trips. They were a match made in heaven with the bows and the light blue and the fabulousness! I knew instantly they were the perfect summer date night outfit. I didn’t even try them on. Normally I don’t recommend doing this but sometimes you gotta live a little and step out of your comfort zone to see what happens.
Guess what? Nothing happened! Just a cute little top with ribbons and bows and some fabulous little mules I’ll rock all summer AND fall (velvet is so fall!). I’ve linked some others for you down below!
