I don’t know about you, but I am definitely NOT one of those wear it once kind of gals. I only buy pieces that I either love so much I can’t wait to wear them again or that are so versatile I can’t stop wearing them because they go with everything. This gingham pink ruffle top is one of those uber-versatile-can’t-stop-wearing ones. It looks so killer with denim that I’ve found at least two ways to wear it and want to show you how you can take a favorite top and do it, too!
Look 1: Super-skinny jeans, heels and a playful pony tail for date night with my man in Charleston.
This is my first foray into extremely tight pants since losing a few pounds, and I’m still getting used to the look. Hello, thighs! If you’re going to wear tight pants with a curvy frame, I suggest pairing some killer heels to elongate your body. A high pony also adds length and is perfectly playful for a hot summer night in Charleston. We had dinner at Minero, by the way – best margaritas and burritos!
Look 2: Denim skirt, lace-up flats and wavy hair down for shopping day with my sis in Atlanta.
I went for the partial tuck and matching pink flats for a casual shopping day at Atlantic Station with my sister Claire. Since I had a lot of pink going on here, I chose a darker pair of sunnies and left my hair down. Since there were bare legs – didn’t think a lot of lengthening illusions were necessary with a shorter skirt so I went for the flats – though one must always wear her ‘fake heels’ (tip toes) when posing for the camera!
The common thread among the outfits is my killer statement Romany earrings from Baublebar. I think they pull the look together by linking to the blue of the denim, and I just love how vibrant and fun they are. There is nothing about either of these looks that screams I take myself too seriously (which I sometimes do but you know, workin’ on it).

P.s. It’s only fitting that my favorite top is best paired with my two favorite people. I thank them both for shooting these pics on each occasion!
