BLUE ON BLUE

Wowee! That’s a lot of blue I’ve got going on there. But you know, what? I tried a number of different ways wearing this amazing Chinese jacket, and it turns out that matching it to this blue neoprene skirt really made it pop. I didn’t buy the pieces together, but pairing these two bold items made it look like they were meant to be!

MENSWEAR IDEAS FOR WOMEN – PART 3 (FINALE)

It’s the end! The third and final piece from my menswear mini-series, and it all revolves around this killer piece with built-in suspenders and a bow tie graphic from Scotch and Soda. I paired it with a short, flared skirt and bright red pumps for maximum femininity, and I grabbed my man’s fedora and trench for the outerwear. I call this look, “Urban P.I.”

MENSWEAR IDEAS FOR WOMEN – PART 2

For the second part of my menswear ideas for women series, I experimented with a men’s tie and vintage tie clips. I kept all the other pieces very feminine – pink shirt, flowy skirt/dress, sparkly earrings, hair down, bright lipstick – to offset how masculine a fully-buttoned and tied shirt looks to me. We had to bring the photo shoot inside this time – it’s in the negatives in Chicago!
