This past week I attended two fun beauty events, won a raffle, met more wonderful bloggers, and wore white after Labor Day with extreme gusto. I’d say it was a style success – so much so, that I’ll have to cover it in two parts!
This look was inspired by several trends I’ve been following for a while but wasn’t ready to try until now, including powder blue, mules, slouchy boyfriend jeans and layering long sleeves under crop tops. I mean, why not try them all at once?!
I have a tendency to re-discover an item or a pairing and then wear it to death, which is what I’ve been doing with this silver bomber, purple lipstick and purple clutch (see my previous post for Episode 1 of this Silver + Purple look!).
Silver and purple together make one of my favorite color combinations. The two shades have hints of each other in their undertones, so they pair nicely and add a little edge and sass to a casual outfit.
I love to mix prissy fur accents with punky plaid pieces. The fur brings the flannel up a notch while the flannel brings the fur down a notch, creating an effect that leaves me feeling both styled and comfortable for Saturday morning brunch.
