SUMMER OUTFIT IDEA: EMBROIDERED TOP

Old Navy Embroidered Peasant Top on Belle Meets World blog

Ladies, let me introduce you to my new go-to summer outfit! It all revolves around the embroidered top – a trend I wasn’t expecting to love this season. I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by it, though!

Whether paired with jeans and flats or a black skirt and lace-up wedges, this festive little blouse is a total winner and can go from day to night pretty easily.

Most of the embroidered tops you’ll find on the racks right now are super-colorful, which is good news for you. All the colors will match a number of different shoes, earrings and bags so you can really pull the whole look together with your accessories.

HOW TO WEAR IT:

I wore this look to Sunday brunch this past weekend, then out for errands and such. Swing tops can be flowy and make you look a little bulky so I tucked it into a flared skirt to create a waist and added a wedge for height. When I dress the top down, I’ll pair it with skinny jeans and pointed-toe flats to offset the flowy-ness on top and create a narrow line on the bottom.
