So what do you think of the Victoria Beckham for Target collection?! Some of it I love, and some of it I don’t love, but I definitely felt lucky to get my grubby little paws on a few pieces this weekend when it hit stores on Saturday! My favorite piece of all the loot I scored (it’s a crazy story how I got it! More on that in the post) is this amazing calla lily black dress with the little flounce. It’s punky, feminine, unique, forgiving and uber-comfortable. I always like to get in on the special collection action at Target because the designs are pretty well-tailored and of-the-moment with a great price tag. Plus Beckham’s signature flair is all over these pieces so a lot of them look higher end in my opinion.
As you know last week I was stranded in NYC after three flight cancellations! I couldn’t even get home over the weekend, which was a bummer because my sister and I were planning to hit the VB x Target shopping when the doors opened on Sunday, April 9th. We had a stealth plan with sizes and styles picked out – DIVIDE AND CONQUER we’d said – knowing crazy fashionista gals would be flocking to the racks. I was ready to throw elbows! Lucky for me, my sister went anyway and was able to grab this fabulous dress. It wasn’t on my original list of the items I wanted but it’s all they had in my size, so we went with it and I’m so glad she suggested it because I LOVE IT!
An hour later I’m texting my friend Mea in NY to see what she’s up to and it just so happens she’s in line for VB x Target and proceeds to pick up the other pieces I wanted. Oddly enough, NY had tons of Victoria Beckham for Target pieces – apparently no one in NY was into it. No worries, more for me! I’ve never art directed a dual-city shopping experience from my cellphone before but it was pretty fun, and certainly fruitful for my closet.
Here are the other dresses I got below – you’ll see them in upcoming posts, but the best thing about all these pieces is the price tag. All $40 or below. The second best thing is that they are all great day-to-night dresses. In fact after this photo shoot yesterday, I changed into a fun pair of silver oxfords for the rest of the night. We had a lot of walking to do and I didn’t want to wear down the heel on these amazing Roger Vivier boots (I scored them at UAL in Nashville for $30!). And this amazing little Zara bag was just $40 on sale in NY last week. AND these Quay sunglasses cost me $30 at a second hand store in NY. A killer look for under $200 – what more could a stylish gal hope for??
Go check out Victoria Beckham for Target! Like I said, there are still some pieces available – perfect for spring and summer date nights. Happy shopping!
