I recently read an article about the items a gal should stop wearing after 30. Among those were tutu skirts. Sorry folks, but I refuse to be told what to wear and not wear. Wearing a tutu is one of life’s pleasures, and so is rebelling against rules – especially unnecessary ones. In honor of my inner badass, I’ve chosen to be the punkiest ballerina I can.

Sometimes, wearing your snow gear is unavoidable, especially when it snows in Chicago. The slush will ruin your favorite shoes and the temps are too low to bare anything at all. Wowee! That’s a lot of blue I’ve got going on there. But you know, what? I tried a number of different ways wearing this amazing Chinese jacket, and it turns out that matching it to this blue neoprene skirt really made it pop. I didn’t buy the pieces together, but pairing these two bold items made it look like they were meant to be!
